Coolants: What You Need to Know to Prevent Downtime

Sponsored By D-A Lubricant Company, Inc.

Did you know coolant is just as important as your engine oil when it comes to your fleet? Coolant needs to be monitored and tested because mechanical and/or chemical reactions can take place hindering the performance of the coolant. Coolant can break down and become less effective over time. Not monitoring the coolant could result in corrosion and/or sludge, which can impact proper function of the cooling system. If the cooling system becomes damaged, you risk the possibility of the engine overheating causing downtime for your business.

The rivet tool comes with a set of four retention nose pieces (3/16-in., 7/32-in., 1/4-in., and 9/32-in.) to hold blind rivets in place once inserted into the tool.

Milwaukee Tool has released the M18 Fuel ¼-in. Blind Rivet Tool w/One-Key, a cordless rivet tool. Engineered with Milwaukee’s M18 Fuel technology, the company says the tool eliminates pneumatic compressors and hoses.

The company says the M18 Fuel blind rivet tool combines the Powerstate Brushless Motor, Redlithium battery pack, and Redlink Plus Intelligence.

The company says Powerstate Brushless Motor delivers 4,500 lbs. of pulling force for high strength blind rivets in all materials. M18 Redlithium batteries instal up to 900 3/16-in. aluminum or 500 ¼in. aluminum blind rivets in one charge. Redlink Plus Intelligence protects against overload, over-heating, and over-discharge, Milwaukee adds.

The blind rivet tool is built with a three-jaw design and an all-metal gearcase, impact strength plastics, and a protective over-mold to withstand harsh shop, plant, and field environments while maintaining a lightweight feel, Milwaukee says.

As an added benefit, the company says, One-Key provides the ability to track, manage and secure the rivet tool.

The rivet tool comes with a set of four retention nose pieces (3/16-in., 7/32-in., 1/4-in., and 9/32-in.) to hold blind rivets in place once inserted into the tool. With onboard storage, the tool allows for all four retention nose pieces, as well as the wrench for switching between sizes, to be stored on the tool. Non-retention nose pieces are available separately. A protective boot is available to offer a lightweight, durable solution for tool and workpiece protection and an available 6-in. extension allows users to install rivets in hard to reach applications, the company says.
